About Newyddion Lle
Newyddion Lle is a project by Red Brand Media and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
The aim of the project is to provide Welsh Language news to the community of Llanelli. Newyddion Lle is only dedicated Welsh Language News provider in Llanelli and by working in partnership with the Llanelli Standard, we’re able to ensure that its readers have access to Welsh Language News.
The aims of the project are:
- encourage the community to take part in, collect the community news and information.
- Carryout networking and teamworking within the community to engage with the Welsh speaking and non-Welsh speaking community.
Project actions are:
- recruit volunteers
- create a Welsh language community newspaper,
- train participants on how to write articles,
- work in partnership with the community
The project will last for 12 months and produce 10 issues of Newyddion Lle. We will be helping to introduce community news to 42% of the community that has no community news in their first
language, and also building confidence for those taking part in the project.
